Tomorrow (03/03/10), it will officially be two years since I said yes to being Mr Sunshine’s. πŸ™‚
Alhamdulillah.

Since the both of us are working the whole day tomorrow, and will be heading to Gombak (yippee !) straight after work, we had an early celebratory/kesyukuran lunch. πŸ™‚

I expressed my desire to enjoy a buffet lunch or high tea. I even made calls to a few hotels around Kuala Terengganu. Then Hubby Bubbly suggested we give Riyaz Heritage Marina, Resort and Spa in Pulau Duyong a try.

Upon arrival at the Verandah Restaurant, we found out that they only served dinner buffet style. Hence we opted for the ala carte lunch menu.
The restaurant was simple, yet beautiful. We chose to sit out on the patio to enjoy the cool afternoon South China Sea breeze. πŸ™‚

After browsing through their menu, I’d have to say the prices were quite affordable and they had quite a variety in their dishes.
For our drinks, we ordered from their mocktails menu. I went for their Shirley Temple and hubby bubbly ordered Matahari.

My Shirley Temple – Sprite and Grenadine syrup. Not bad at all.

Matahari – Orange juice, soda and something else haha I forgot lah !

We were their only patrons at that time.
I think we were their only customers for the whole lunch time ! We got really comfortable snapping away while waiting for our food.

Hubby bubbly ordered the Heritage Daging Kawah. Sedap kan, awak ?

I chose the Festavita Della Pasta, fettucine with carbonara sauce.

My dish was absolutely rich and delicious ! I finished the whole huge plate, and was even craving for more.

For dessert we had Yam Creme Brulee.
Most of you might already know how I love my desserts, creme brulee included. But I have never tasted YAM creme brulee.
Basically it was your normal delectable creme brulee…

…with yam cubes in it !

I was actually a bit skeptical about digging into it, as I am not a yam fan.
But, one mouthful was enough to make me say that the combination was delightful !

I kinda wished I did not have to share it with Mr Sunshine ! Haha.

All in all, it was a wonderful gastronomical trip !
I am definitely going back there for my pasta and creme brulee fix.
Thank you sayang.

Two years, and counting.
InshaAllah. πŸ˜‰
