My Remedy for Nausea and Bloating

There’s this special remedy for nausea and bloating that I am so excited to share with all of you. It has helped me tremendously in dealing with my nausea and bloating in pregnancy.

It’s none other than Peppermint-Ginger Plus !

It’s pretty obvious from its name that it contains peppermint leaves and ginger, but that’s not it, it also has fennel seeds and anise. That’s why it’s called Peppermint-Ginger Plus !

Peppermint helps to relax stomach muscles and has a calming effect. It helps in digestion, motion sickness, alleviates gastric pain and heartburn.


gingerGinger stimulates saliva secretions for the breakdown of food. It helps ease stomach discomfort, menstrual pain, morning sickness, nausea and bloating (wind).



fennel seedFennel seeds are known to help ease a bloated stomach and symptoms of cold.



anise seedAnise seeds are believed to have been used by ancient Egyptians. It helps relieves poor digestion and menstrual pain, cough & phlegm. It is also said to stimulate the secretion of gastric juices for digestion



Shaklee has combined these four herbs and it’s main purpose is to help improve nausea, gastric pain/disorder, bloating (wind) and burping and indigestion.

These are how the tablets look like. :)

During the recent Raya season (when I was stuffing myself like nobody’s business), my tummy was constantly uncomfortable, bloated and I was nauseous to the point that I literally had headaches.
After popping 3 tablets of Peppermint-Ginger Plus, it relieved ALL the discomfort I was going through. Alhamdulillah.

Worked. Every. Single. Time.

I have even suggested it to my sister in-law, Linn and Alhamdulillah it has helped ease her discomfort as well. :)

So there you are, my extra special remedy for nausea and bloating – not only in pregnancy but whenever, wherever ! InshaAllah. :)

Fun fact: You can even dissolve the tablets in hot water and take it as a drink !

    Adik ipar ifa pun ambil ni masa 1st trimester sebab loya yang amat teruk. Alhamdulillah dah okay dah sekarang.

    Suka makan ni bila badan penuh dengan angin. Makan 3-4 biji, terus rasa nak membuang jer. Hehe
