old boys and old friends.

Hello all !
Updates, as promised.

As if anyone really reads my blog, haha.

Two weeks ago, Mr. Sunshine brought Khayla and I to Ipoh, again. This time around it was for his former school, Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman’s (STAR) Old Boys Weekend. We took leave on Friday and checked in at Impiana Hotel, Ipoh that afternoon. Khayla and I spent most of our time in the room while Mr. Sunshine met up with his ex-schoolmates.

Khayla and Ayah at STAR, Ipoh on the evening we arrived. Mr. Sunshine took us on a tour of his school. I had goosebumps, as though it was my former school !

Khayla was pretty excited throughout the whole trip, polishing her walking skills and exploring every nook and cranny in the hotel room.

“Ayah is leaving us in the room ? No biggie, I’ll just lie down and watch telly !”
“…or maybe lie down and check out what I can order from the room service menu !”

Trying to call room service ? Hehe.

I guess she found her happy place. Hehe.

Told ya she enjoyed herself !

Immediately after we reached home on Sunday evening (16/9/2012), we freshened up and headed to Gan & Wei Ting’s wedding. Lene was supposed to come along, but she found a date at the very last minute and met us there instead. 🙂

It was such a beautiful night ! I got to meet my beautiful friends (and probably the only people apart from my family who know how to pronounce my name correctly, haha tetiba) and celebrate the lovely couple. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the bride & groom walking hand in hand. This is the guy I’ve known since I was 14 ! I know our friendship has changed over the years and we’re not as close as we were before, but I was truly happy for him ! *nangis*

The ever so beautiful Felicia and I. Even Khayla was enamoured by her.

L-R: Khayla, Me, Judith, Felicia, Marlene & Jaclyn. 🙂

Group photo ! See, Khayla is still trying to peek at Felicia ! Hehehe.

Ayah, who had to tend to Khayla when she started to get sleepy and cranky.

Looking forward to get together with all of them soon, since I’m back in Gombak already.

I had to go for a 4 days-3 nights induction course at UiTM’s Training Centre, Kampung Gajah, Perak from last Friday to Monday.
I was fortunate that I had already attended an induction when I was working with the Ministry of Health, so I only had to attend 4 out of the 14 days of induction. Alhamdulillah.
I was very impressed by the rooms they provided for us for the course. Almost hotel-like, with two twin beds, air condition, water heater and we even have to insert our keycard for power. Hehe. It was a comfortable stay, plus I had an awesome roomie so all in all it was good.
I sure hope I aced the exam ! Ameen.

They even provided us with towels, shampoos & shower gels. 🙂

Mr. Sunshine and I will be moving out from Gombak to Shah Alam soon. We found a 2-storey house to rent for the time being. Why move out ? Well, it’s an effort to save energy, time, and money. 🙂
We went to see the house two nights ago and it was okayyy lah. It isn’t my dream house, but I can live in it. I think. Haha.

Although Syawal has ended, I’m gonna leave you people with two snapshots of my colleagues and I during our office’s Raya celebration.

With my boss (in purple) and the pharmacy assistants. 🙂

Comel tak kami ? Haha.

 Here’s to a smashing weekend, bye !

Their gorgeous dais. 🙂

Pretty, right ?
Doorgifts. They gave out Gardenia muffins & Twiggies ! ;D
Their table centerpiece. They actually planted the wheatgrass themselves. So rajin.
Daddy & Mr. Sunshine grabbing a bite before the guests arrive.

Mr. Sunshine, (a pouty) Khayla and I. Love !

The bride and groom have arrived !

Smilllleeeee ! 😀

‘One happy family at home’. Hehe. I had to lift up my kain a bit because it kept getting wet due to the drizzle !

Mr. Sunshine brought Khayla and I to Ipoh two weeks ago to attend his ex schoolmate’s wedding.

On our way to Ipoh. 🙂

We decided to spend a night in Ipoh because the wedding was on Sunday. It totally slipped our minds that it was the start of the school holidays, so almost all the hotels were fully booked. Mr. Sunshine managed to get a booking at Ecotel Hotel, a budget hotel. It was not bad for a budget hotel, comfy king-sized bed, flat screen telly, water heater and coffee making facilities. It was clean, probably because it was still new; 3 months old.:)

For those who don’t already know, my family and I stayed in Ipoh almost two years. I spent two of my primary school years there, and Mr. Sunshine went to Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman (STAR) from Form 1 to Form 5. So being back in Ipoh brought back so many fond memories !

Jalan Rajaratnam, in Canning Garden. The road where we used to live on. I was almost in tears, drama much ?
Mr. Sunshine in front of his alma mater. 🙂

My primary school !
Mr. Sunshine with his ex schoolmates. Khayla was freaking out from all the attention she was getting. Hehe.

Khayla was so well behaved throughout the whole trip, Alhamdulillah.
That’s about it for now, bye !

Oh hi.
Have you heard ?

I am officially Mrs Sunshine !
I’ve been married for 6 blissful days now. Alhamdulillah.

Thank you for all the well wishes.
Thank you for all the gifts and contributions.
I apologize as I know I did not get to meet and greet every single one of you but do believe me, I truly appreciate your presence !

We just got back from our honeymoon in Langkawi yesterday evening. 🙂
And now we’re back in Terengganu. Sobs. Time sure flies when you’re having a great time.
We did just a bit of unpacking to get an idea of what else we need for this house.
Mr Sunshine is out for Friday prayers and I am supposed to get ready, as we’re heading out to shop for necessities. 🙂

But I’m still sleeeeeeeeepyyyyyy lah.

the reason(s).

As much as I would want to ignore them, I have valid reasons to be worried as hell.

Reason No. 1
I have done NOTHING pertaining to my research, since I had my proposal presentation more than a month ago.

Reason No. 2
All my clinical cases are HALFWAY (maybe even quarter-way, if there is such a word) clerked. And I am not even 1 percent ready to present any of them.

Reason No. 3

Reason No. 4
I have gained unnecessary flab due to more than a month of not exercising and incessant munching. BOTH MY THIGHS ARE PRACTICALLY SLAPPING EACH OTHER OK. They used to be only rubbing against each other, no slapping actions. Sigh.

Reason No. 5
After a visit to Nilai 3 with Mr Sunshine last Friday, it has dawned upon us that our wedding is going to burn a HUGE hole in our pockets.

Reason No. 6
When Lene leaves for university, Daddy would be HOME ALONE. Arrgghhhhh, how lah.

Reason No. 7
Mr Sunshine’s family is coming next month for my risik cum engagement and the house is nowhere near a presentable state. OMG, next month ?

Reason No. 8
I am losing hair. AGAIN. This time along with excessive shedding dead skin cells from my scalp. I have dandruff ! What’s wrong with me lah.

There you go.
I think I might need anti-anxiety pills.

kahwin loceng. loceng kahwin ?

I feel like I have not seen my housemates in awhile.
I am currently at work. I’ll be at home in about 3 hours time when they have already left for work.
Previous days were spent either at work or on my bed snoozing.
My body seems to be getting more tired by the day.
I can’t even remember the last time I had a workout.
Maybe that’s my problem.

Last week was a pretty good week, putting aside the fact that I was sick for the first half of it.

I drove to UKM, Bangi last Thursday evening to meet up with Akey at her lab.
We did not get to talk that much as she was working on her research. Busy sangat !
I felt like I was in her way of getting things done.
But it was good to get sit down with her again. I missed her !

Mr Sunshine paid a surprise visit that Thursday night.
Wanted to check on this frequently ill girlfriend of his.
How sweet is that ? *heart smiles*
He left for Kemaman on Friday night as he had on call duties on Saturday.
He was here for less than 24 hours !

Poor thing, he must have been exhausted by the time he got back.

Lene had her Anugerah SPM Cemerlang thingy at her school (which also used to be my school) last Saturday morning.
I was there with Daddy.
It was an extremely proud moment for me to see her on stage receiving her certificate and plaque.
Brought back jolly good memories too ! I loved high school.
There were many new teachers, I could not recognize most of them. But I was touched that the ones I did, recognized and still remembered me too !
There was this inexplicable feeling when I talked to them about already graduating and working as a pharmacist.
Those people taught me 8 years ago.
Wow, 8 years. -_-

Met up with a few of my Gombak people (Navin, Gan, Trev, Dayana and Pik Kay) last Saturday at The Curve.
Had a late lunch, OK only Lene and I had late lunch as we arrived later than the rest and they have already eaten.
We watched Fast and Furious.
It was the second time I watched that movie and I still got startled at every crash scene.
Judith joined us a bit later in the night and we all talked about weddings and watched Gan and Dayana flirt with each other. Haha.
Although Lene and I managed to take a few photos together while we were waiting for the movie, it’s unusual that I forgot to snap pictures of all of us together !
Sigh. Next time lah I guess.

Had lunch at Waroeng Penyet with Diana on Sunday at The Curve (again !).
We spent hours talking about wedding dowry, hantaran items, etc etc. So seronok ok !
She bought a few things for her house from IKEA. Mula mula suruh ambil yellow bag, tak nak. Hehe.

Oh, have I told you ?
Mr Sunshine and I are planning to tie the knot !

Haha, I have been wondering for weeks on how to break the news to you people.
Well, everything is still in the planning stages. InsyaAllah.
What’s confirmed is our risik cum engagement which will happen in the middle of June. InsyaAllah.
It won’t be anything fancy as it will only be for family and a few of my best friends, probably less than 50 people altogether including his side.
So anyone who does not get invited, don’t take it to heart, OK ?
I’ll try to invite you people to my wedding reception, which, as at now, is planned for January next year.
All this will be confirmed (hopefully) after my risik cum engagement OK ?

I have less than year to go.
I have a whole lot of planning to do !

Furthermore, I (and him too of course) would be planning on a very tight budget, can’t afford to splurge on unnecessary or overpriced whatevers.
Bersederhana, kan dituntut Islam. *smiles*
We need to prioritize, from the wajibs to the tak ada pun tak apa(s).
Diana and her fiance, Hanan will be sponsoring a fruit cake for my engagement hantaran ! Thank you so much, love.

Speaking of weddings, I get quite pissed actually with people who send out messages or comments like, “Oh, kahwin tak jemput !” or worse, “Sampai hati kahwin tak jemput pun !”
Anything along the same lines lah.
Sampai hati ?
Well, it’s their wedding and it’s really up to them who they want to be there. I mean if they had it planned for only 100 pax, then so be it.
It’s their day for God’s sake.
Isn’t it better if you pray for their happiness rather than being selfish by making them feel bad about not inviting you ?
I’m seriously hungry.

Pictures will be posted in my next post. If I feel rajin.
