Confinement with Shaklee

Day 33 of confinement.
This means Khaleel is already 1 month old, Alhamdulillah, and I have 11 days to go before I taste freedom. Haha.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to go through my confinement period with Shaklee supplements. Here are what I have observed:

  1. My perineum stitches healed faster. I remember very clearly about still having trouble sitting down properly and complaining about being sore down there 3 weeks after I gave birth to Khayla, but this time, it took about a little over a week for me to be able to sit and move normally. Alhamdulillah.
  2. I feel energized and fresh every single day despite the fact that I am waking up several times to nurse Khaleel during the night. In fact, I actually felt like getting back on my Zumba regimen last week but let’s not overdo it lah. Hehe.
  3. Alhamdulillah, so far I have no issues with breast milk supply although I do not get to express my milk as often as I should. Khaleel sometimes have to let go of my breasts, while panting and gagging a little because too much milk is going into his mouth. Hehe.
  4. I have lost 11 kgs so far. After I delivered Khayla, it took me about 2 months to lose the same amount of weight ! Just in case y’all did not know, I gained 18 kgs throughout this pregnancy. Haha. So I have about 7 kgs more to lose to achieve my pre-pregnancy weight. Wish me luck ! Hehe.

These are the supplements I take everyday:

ESP, VitaLea, Vita C, B Complex, Zinc Complex, Alfalfa Complex, Ostematrix, Omega Guard & Lecithin

ESP, VitaLea, Vita C, B Complex, Zinc Complex, Alfalfa Complex, Ostematrix, Omega Guard & Lecithin

And here is how I take them daily:

I take 1 tablet of Zinc Complex as soon as I wake up in the morning.
After lunch, I will take 2 tablets of VitaLea, 1 tablet of B Complex, 1 tablet of Sustained Release Vita C & 3 capsules of Lecithin.
I take another tablet of Sustained Release Vita C and another 3 capsules of Lecithin after dinner.
And before I go to bed, I take 4 tablets of Ostematrix along with 3 capsules of Omega Guard.

I drink ESP & Meal Shakes when I am hungry in between meals which is usually in the evening of before I go to bed.

I occasionally take Alfalfa Complex too, but I noticed it made my breasts engorge with milk too much (which is a good thing !) so I take it as and when I feel like it. Hee.

I believe that the Zinc Complex and Vita C helped speed up my healing process and the others contribute to my energy, weight loss (thank you Lecithin & Omega Guard !) and milk supply !
Lecithin has also helped me when I had (painful) blocked milk ducts.

All this while I have been reading and receiving positive feedbacks from others about going through confinement with Shaklee supplements, so I am extremely grateful and ecstatic I got to experience the awesome-ness firsthand. Yay ! :)

So happy I got to share this with all of you. And yes, I would definitely recommend Shaklee supplements for anyone who are pregnant or going through the confinement phase. Heck, I would recommend them to everyone ! Hehe.

Ok bye !

My Daily Shaklee Regimen

Assalamu’alaikum everyone.
Happy Monday ! :)

Hope everyone is doing good today. No Monday blues, eh ? :)

Today I have decided to share with you my daily Shaklee Regimen which is basically what Shaklee supplements I take and when I take them.

I am happy to admit that I have tried almost all of the Shaklee supplements and I have no complaints whatsoever. But these are the ones that I have stuck with. :)

My mornings are kick-started with my Mighty 3 Gems which is a combination of 2-3 tablespoons of ESP, 1 tablespoon of Meal Shakes & 1 tablespoon of Performance. I add 1 sachet of Collagen Powder on alternate days.

Shaklee Regimen

My Mighty 3 Gems & Collagen Powder

This is followed by 5 tablets of Alfalfa Complex.
This will count as my breakfast and it will usually keep my full until lunch or if I’m fasting, this would suffice as my sahur as well.

After lunch, I would take 1 tablet of VitaLea, 1-2 tablets of B Complex, 2 tablets of Sustained Release Vita C and 1 capsule of GLA Complex.

Shaklee Regimen

Look at how cute all of them look together hehe.

After dinner, I take another 5 tablets of Alfalfa Complex, another capsule of GLA Complex, 2 tablets of Advanced Joint Health and 1 capsule of Carotomax.

Lastly, before bedtime, I take 2-3 tablets of Ostematrix and 1 teaspoon of Vivix. But as I usually doze off while putting Khayla to sleep, I sometimes miss my Ostematrix (which I will regret the day after – body aches !) and I will have to take my Vivix early in the morning on an empty stomach.

So that’s basically it. Hehe.
Alhamdulillah this regimen has helped me keep my eczema at bay, I no longer have morning sneezing fits, I don’t fall sick as often as I used to, and my skin has improved tremendously. :)
Alhamdulillah, of course everything is with Allah’s permission. :)

No, you do not have to take the exact same supplements that I am taking.
If you have no medical conditions, I would suggest you start with the basic VitaLea, B Complex and Vita C. Preferably along with ESP.

If you need help in deciding which supplements you should take, don’t hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist you. :)

One day I’ll write on what Shaklee skincare I am using, ok ?
Until my next post, bye !

Collagen is an important connective tissue in our body. When we speak about collagen, people always tend to think about the face and how the lack of collagen can make us look older with more wrinkles. Hehe.
Well, that’s true, but collagen is also important for other parts of our body like our muscles, hair, nails, joints, blood vessels and even our teeth ! Read more on the importance of collagen in our body and what’s in Shaklee’s Collagen Powder HERE. :)

Many have tried Shaklee’s Collagen Powder and never looked back. Shaklee’s Collagen powder is made from Red Snapper fish scales which are a premium source of collagen with higher absorption and lesser contamination as compared to animal collagen. Ramadhan vs Syawal

Hi ya’ll !

I am currently blogging from the Paediatric Ward of DEMC. Khayla has been admitted here since last Thursday due to pneumonia. This is DK’s second hospital admission.

Alhamdulillah she is much better now. We’re hoping to be discharged tomorrow. InshaAllah. Aameen.

She is currently asleep, which explains why Mummy is so rajin to blog even from her mobile !

Khayla Ramadhan vs. Syawal admission

I am much better now everyone, thank you !

Shaklee for kids

Supplements for Khayla while she is warded. :)

I have been away from work for almost a week now, I can only imagine the amount of work I have to finish before Raya.

Speaking of Raya, I will only be on leave on the 1st and 2nd day of Raya so this year it will be a quick trip to Batu Pahat and we’ll be back in Gombak in the evening of the 1st day of Syawal. InshaAllah. :)

I am now learning to appreciate Ramadhan more than Syawal and I am genuinely very sad that Ramadhan is coming to an end.

(Hence the Ramadhan vs Syawal post title.)

It has been a culture for us here to look forward to Syawal (Raya to be exact) rather than focusing on fully submitting ourselves during Ramadhan.
1st of Syawal is actually a celebration for us who have completed Ramadhan. And completed doesn’t only mean fasting from food and drinks. There is a whole lot more to Ramadhan than that !

Some even cry when they don’t get to see their parents/children/aunts/uncles/cousins during Raya instead of crying because Ramadhan has come to an end. Yes, I was one of them.

I hope to change.
I want to change !

To istiqamah is always a struggle for me.

Anyway, I am craving Nando’s and I am secretly hoping Mr. Sunshine (who is at work now) reads this and would surprise me with a quarter meal (hot) with grilled salad & mediterranean rice for berbuka tonight. Haha.

Ok bye.

Princess down with fever

Khayla has been down with fever since Monday. Poor baby.

I am currently at home. I took leave to nurse my little baby-girl back to good health. She doesn’t have much of an appetite too.

Her temperature seems to be slightly higher at night. Hence, sleepless nights for both DK and I.

I am thinking of bringing her to a doctor this evening if she is still unwell. I am hoping it’s just viral fever. I have been giving her Nutriferon, Chewable Vita C along with her usual Meal Shakes. I bathed her with a few drops of Basic H too, to help bring down her fever.

Oh this time around I applied a drop of Vivix on her nose, for her flu. :)

fever flu vivix

Get well soon, baby !

So she’s looking a bit like Rudolph. Hehe.

I still am giving her Paracetamol syrup because I do not want to risk her having another febrile fit (she had another episode at the sitter’s in March).

Being the paranoid mother that I am, I check her temperature every 10 minutes. She has gotten used to it and even requests for me to check the temperature in BOTH ears ! Hehe.

Being sick, all she wants to do is lie down near to me and whine. Poor girl.

On another note, there’s this video about a woman lashing out at an old man for hitting her car going viral on the internet. I do not want to comment on what happened in the video but I feel that spreading it around just isn’t right. Especially in this holy month of Ramadhan.
Anyway I am in no position to tell anyone anything, this is just a personal opinion. :)

I am off to feed Khayla some porridge. :)

Bye !

His and Hers Sahur :)

Hellloouuu !

Good morning everyone. :)
We’re already on the 8th day of Ramadhan. MashaAllah, time flies so fast ! Pejam celik pejam celik, dah nak masuk second week of Ramadhan !

Everyone knows how important sahur (pre-dawn meal) is, it is not merely an act of waking up to fill up our tummies before we start to fast, but we also wake up to gain barakah.

Anas bin Maalik (RA) said that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Make suhoor because verily in As-Suhoor is Barakah (blessing).”

Al-Bukhaari (1923), Muslim, An-Nasaa’i, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajh and Ad-Daarami.

Even when arwah Mummy was still around, most of the time I would only wake up to have a few glasses of water. But after getting to know Shaklee, this has been my sahur:

Last year, Mr Sunshine has also joined the ‘Shaklee Sahur’ bandwagon. Hehe. The only difference is his includes Cinch Shake Mix in Caffe Latte. :)

His sahur: 1 tablespoon Performance Drink, 1 tablespoon Meal Shakes & 2 scoops of Cinch Shake Mix
Her sahur: 1 tablespoon Performance Drink, 1 tablespoon Meal Shakes & 2 tablespoons ESP (=Mighty 3 Gems)

You can vary this concoction, you can add fruits, dates, honey, fresh milk, anything you like ! :)
I have improvised my Mighty 3 Gems by occasionally adding 1 sachet of Collagen Powder and 1 teaspoon of Vivix for that extra awet muda umph. Hehe.

My sahur is completed with the yummy Chocodates, which I discovered back in 2011 while I was pregnant with Khayla. :)

Alhamdulillah my Shaklee sahur has helped me stay energetic, hydrated and tak lemau (hehe).

Testimonial – Meal Shakes in an asthmatic kid with skin problems

“Sedikit pengalaman yang ingin dikongsi.

Anak saya “bongsu” saya sejak lahir punya masalah dgn kulit juga ada Asthma. Dia terpaksa guna product gluten-free, segala sabun mandi, sabun basuh baju semua kena pakai yang khas. Payah. Dia amat sukakan susu, cheese dan makanan laut, udang especially. Malangnya tu semua jadi musuh buat dia.

Dan katanya, “Umi, I want udang and cheese and milk and kacang”
(bear in mind: dia memang akan semput kalau makan kacang).

Yeay. Alhamdullilah.” – Puan Rosmaniza Rahim

Testimonials – Meal Shakes

Let’s take a look at what these mothers have to say about Meal Shakes:
1. By Puan Norhazwani Nadiah:

“Adam dah consume Meal Shakes dalam 2 minggu lebih. Minggu pertama tiada apa-apa progress.
Masuk minggu kedua, saya dah mula perasan yang selesema Adam makin lama makin berkurang. Sekarang memang dah tak ada langsung. Batuk pun dah baik, cuma kadang-kadang sahaja dia batuk sikit-sikit.
Yang paling saya suka ketika makan, selera dia makin bertambah. Dulu nak habiskan 90 ml susu pun susah. Umur dah setahun tapi masih minum 90 ml sahaja sedangkan budak-budak lain seusia dia minum aound 180 ml. Sekarang boleh habiskan susu 120 ml, bubur semangkuk habis, then puding 4 ketul. Semalam dah makan bubur habis semangkuk, then continue telur goreng mata 1 biji, tambah lagi susu 120 ml 2 kali sebelum tidur.
My parents and parents in law ada cakap my son badan nampak berisi sedikit berbanding dulu.
Alhamdulillah. Saya akan teruskan lagi sampai dia besar.”

2. Puan Azura has been giving her kid Meal Shakes & Omega Guard:

“Sejak saya beri Aisy consume Meal Shakes dan Omega Guard, antibodi dia sangat kuat! Saya sangat suka!

Baru-baru ini saya selesema. Mak mana yang tak cium anak hari-hari, mesti tak miss kan. Tapi 2,3 hari saya perhatikan, dia sihat walafiat dan tak berjangkit. Alhamdulillah.

Selera makan pula jangan cakap lah,
‘Ma, nak makan nasik’
Dah pandai minta. Aisy baru 2thn 3bln.

Semoga anak Mama sihat selalu.”
