My Daily Shaklee Regimen

Assalamu’alaikum everyone.
Happy Monday ! :)

Hope everyone is doing good today. No Monday blues, eh ? :)

Today I have decided to share with you my daily Shaklee Regimen which is basically what Shaklee supplements I take and when I take them.

I am happy to admit that I have tried almost all of the Shaklee supplements and I have no complaints whatsoever. But these are the ones that I have stuck with. :)

My mornings are kick-started with my Mighty 3 Gems which is a combination of 2-3 tablespoons of ESP, 1 tablespoon of Meal Shakes & 1 tablespoon of Performance. I add 1 sachet of Collagen Powder on alternate days.

My Mighty 3 Gems & Collagen Powder

This is followed by 5 tablets of Alfalfa Complex.
This will count as my breakfast and it will usually keep my full until lunch or if I’m fasting, this would suffice as my sahur as well.

After lunch, I would take 1 tablet of VitaLea, 1-2 tablets of B Complex, 2 tablets of Sustained Release Vita C and 1 capsule of GLA Complex.

Look at how cute all of them look together hehe.

After dinner, I take another 5 tablets of Alfalfa Complex, another capsule of GLA Complex, 2 tablets of Advanced Joint Health and 1 capsule of Carotomax.

Lastly, before bedtime, I take 2-3 tablets of Ostematrix and 1 teaspoon of Vivix. But as I usually doze off while putting Khayla to sleep, I sometimes miss my Ostematrix (which I will regret the day after – body aches !) and I will have to take my Vivix early in the morning on an empty stomach.

So that’s basically it. Hehe.
Alhamdulillah this regimen has helped me keep my eczema at bay, I no longer have morning sneezing fits, I don’t fall sick as often as I used to, and my skin has improved tremendously. :)
Alhamdulillah, of course everything is with Allah’s permission. :)

No, you do not have to take the exact same supplements that I am taking.
If you have no medical conditions, I would suggest you start with the basic VitaLea, B Complex and Vita C. Preferably along with ESP.

If you need help in deciding which supplements you should take, don’t hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist you. :)

One day I’ll write on what Shaklee skincare I am using, ok ?
Until my next post, bye !

xoxo

Nutrients for the Skin

SETD

Happy Monday ya’ll !

Who doesn’t want beautiful skin, right ?

Nutrition and great skin are very much related and some of the nutrients that play an important role in your complexion are vitamins. I personally have seen a marked improvement in my skin since I started supplementing religiously. Many have commented on how my skin looks way better now !

Here are some of the essential vitamins for great skin and how to incorporate them into your diet.

Vitamin A
You might be lacking in Vitamin A if your skin has been feeling scaly and dry. Vitamin A is also good for individuals who are suffering from acne. Vitamin A helps the skin rebuild tissues and is also a great anti-aging nutrient. So if you wish to keep lines, wrinkles, dull skin and other skin aging symptoms at bay then Vitamin A is for you ! Good sources of Vitamin A include eggs, leafy greens, milk, carrots, pumpkins, liver and more.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is perhaps the most well-known vitamin that is essential for healthy skin. Like I have elaborated in one of my previous posts, Vitamin E is an effective antioxidant that helps fight free radicals in your body. Vitamin E is an important anti-aging nutrient. Appearance of age spots, wrinkles, stretch marks and lines are reduced by applying Vitamin-E rich products. Vitamin E can also be found in foods like olives, sunflower seeds, peanuts, almonds, wheat germ and leafy greens.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is also an effective antioxidant. It also stimulates the production of collagen in your skin. Collagen is the protein responsible for making your skin supple. Most fruits are good sources of Vitamin C so try to make fruits a staple addition to your everyday diet. Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, brussel sprouts and cucumber are also good sources of this vitamin.

Vitamin B Complex
B Vitamins should also be added to your diet if you wish to achieve healthy skin. Vitamin B1, for instance, boosts circulation in the body and gives your skin a certain glow. If you’re a woman taking birth control pills then you are at risk of Vitamin B1 deficiency. Egg yolks, nuts and raisins are great sources of Vitamin B1. Niacin of Vitamin B3 helps your skin receive plenty of oxygen, which prevents development of acne among other benefits. Niacin-rich foods include tomatoes, broccoli and carrots.

Now that we know which vitamins are good for us, here’s my suggestions on which supplements can help give you a radiant glowing and more supple skin !
The famous trio, Shaklee’s B Complex, Vita E Complex & Sustained Release Vita C is an awesome combination for those of you looking to improve your skin.

This trio is a favourite among ladies and men alike !
In addition to these three, you can also get your dose of Vitamin A from Shaklee’s Carotomax which is not only good for you skin, but also can benefit your eyes and immune system !

I hope I have helped shed some light on how your skin can look and feel better, if you have any other question, feel free to drop me a message. :)
