additional time.

Personally, I would not be happy to be compared to ‘The Abominable One’. But we all have our preferences.
When you’re not getting on almost everyone’s nerves, I actually feel sorry for you.

So much for letting us believe that you have turned over a new leaf.

this my laziest weekend to date.

All I did was sleep, sleep and SLEEP.
I am now experiencing the after-effects of too much sleep, which is a pulsating headache.
Serves me right, I guess.

Mr Sunshine, being the usual darling he is, cleaned up the whole kitchen today ! Thank you sayang ! My husband is awesome. 🙂
I am excited to start cooking again ! I am even craving my own sambal kentang. Haha.
I have not been utilizing the kitchen since my morning sickness took over me.
Since I have only vomited twice this week, I think I can handle cooking.

My next antenatal checkup is this Monday. I am anxious about how that’s gonna turn out.

we need more pepperonis.

This shot was actually from a few weeks ago. I ordered my favourite Pepperoni Delight pizza from the Pizza Hut outlet at Giant, Kuala Terengganu and I was extremely dissatisfied with the amount of pepperoni pieces that were on it.
Look at the slice on the furthest right, there’s only ONE piece of pepperoni ! So stingy, kan ?
They might as well change the name to Pizza Dough Delight pizza.

2010 wrap up.

Don’t worry, I’m in an okay mood right now, so this won’t be another ’emo’ post. Hehe. :p
In about a day’s time we’d be ushering in the year 2011 !
Alhamdulillah, I can say that 2010 has been a good year albeit it having some minor setbacks.
Since I am in such good spirits tonight I’m gonna list down a summary of my happenings in 2010. 😀

  1. The highlight of the year for me is of course my marriage to the most awesome husband a woman can ever ask for ! (Ini bukan bodek ye. Hehe.) Alhamdulillah. Mr Sunshine’s wonderful family who welcomed me into their family with open arms is a true blessing for me. Alhamdulillah. 😀
  2. Mr Sunshine and I went for our first honeymoon in Langkawi this year. It was an unforgettable trip ! Reminiscing about it still gives me butterlies in my tummy. *blushes*
  3. I have gained 4 kilograms since I got hitched ! But Mr Sunshine says I’m “tetap comel !”. Haha.
  4. My family came to visit Mr Sunshine and I here in Terengganu in February and we had a blast !
  5. Dealt with a few health issues of my own.
  6. Marc graduated, was a management trainee for half a year and is now a working man ! Alhamdulillah. 🙂
  7. I turned 26 this year and Mr Sunshine surprised me with something I have always wanted ! We also made time for a short but fun trip to Genting, Kuantan and Cherating for my birthday ! ;D
  8. Got roasted
  9. Mr Sunshine and I enjoyed the company of my in-laws when they came over in June. 😀
  10. Cried like a baby when Brazil lost to the Netherlands during the World Cup ! Argh, I’m still so tak puas hati !
  11. Had the best weekend ever !
  12. Lost a friend.
  13. Made a few new ones. Hello Mel ! Hello Eka ! *waves frantically*
  14. I got confirmed this year too. Alhamdulillah.
  15. Gobbled up almost all of our delicious Raya cookies before Raya. Hehe.
  16. Mr Sunshine and I celebrated our first Raya as husband and wife and boy, it was an amazing experience. 🙂
  17. Watched a movie at the Terengganu’s first TGVcineplex, in Mesra Mall, Kerteh which just opened the week before. 😀
  18. I had a hard time accepting the fact that Mr Sunshine and I were gonna have to stay here in Terengganu longer than I had expected to.
  19. Mr Sunshine turned 25 ! My gift for him was not as extravagant as his was for me, which made it not blog worthy. Sobs.
  20. Annisa and I went for a splendid mini getaway here in Terengganu.
  21. Daddy was warded for a week due to pneumonia. 🙁
  22. And the latest good news, Lene passed her driving examination yesterday !! Yay !
Whether good or bad, I am grateful for everything that I have been blessed with, this year. Alhamdulillah.
As for resolutions, since I successfully achieved my ONLY resolution I made for this year (haha), I am gonna go ahead and make one for next year.
For 2011, I want to BE A BETTER CLINICAL PHARMACIST, which means I have to pull up my socks and stop making excuses for myself.
All this while, I have actually been stressing over my own incompetency (and laziness). Sad, but true.
Let’s see how it goes next year, eh ? InshaAllah.

What are your 2011 resolutions ?

Since New Year’s Day is not a public holiday for us here in Terengganu, and I will be working this weekend ( and on January 1st), Mr Sunshine and I will be celebrating the new year in our humble abode, just the two of us. InshaAllah. 🙂

Have a good weekend everyone ! 😀

i miss having a stable internet connection.

We still have not received our modem back yet.
Last Saturday, they gave us one of their modem to use while waiting for ours to be delivered from KL, but I can’t seem to get it to work. Somehow the link is just not working for me. Anyone has any idea why ?

I thought I had nothing to worry about as I had my Celcom Broadband modem, but it is super slow 99.9% of the time.
It takes more than 5 minutes to access my email. Other websites take forever to load. SUPER SLOW LAH !!

I’ve got loads to tell and photos to upload but I guess I’d have to wait until I get a stable internet connection.
Until then, bye.

I dislike the feeling I have when I wake up after having a weird dream, especially when it involves people who are no longer in my life (either dead or alive).

Last night was weird.

My lappie has developed a habit of turning itself off without warning, and now I can’t seem to use my wireless connection function. I’m back to using the good old cable to go online.
My lappie has gone weird on me.

Word of the day: Weird.

Marc is done wit his Management Trainee stint at Sime Darby. But so far there is no news of him or the others being absorbed, so we’ll just have to pray, wait and see. I really hope he gets it. InshaAllah.

I am quite pleased with myself for actually following through with my vow to start making up my fasts as early as I can. So far I have managed to make up for 11 days which leaves me with another 5 more.
If all goes well, after today, I’d be left with 4 days !

I’m having this weird pain at my body’s right lower quadrant. Hmm.

I am totally aware that this is a weird and boring post.

not all change is good.

I can’t believe the weekend is almost over !

Mr Sunshine and I did what we do best over the weekend.
We stayed up late watching movies on his PC, which usually results in us waking up late the following morning but this weekend we managed to be awake pretty early.
Not only that, we shopped for groceries, paid almost all of our bills, drafted our budgets for this month and the next.

I cooked pucuk paku masak lemak cili api today, fried ikan kembung and made a wickedly hot sambal belacan (the ulcer-causing type). I know those dishes sound simple but they were delicious enough to make Mr Sunshine have THREE plates of rice. Hehe. 😉

The more I reminisce about the good times I had during Eid, and all the good times I would have had with more of my friends back home in Gombak if I had extra time, the more my heart yearns to be back there.

The thought about staying here for a while more might benefit both Mr Sunshine and I (financial-wise) has struck me a hundred times.
Although, that does not mean I am backing out on my plans to move out of here.

New circumstances that I have been forced to deal with have made me really, really, REALLY uncomfortable and dispirited with where I am at now.
I’m getting a bit too old for all this drama lah.
It’s a bit unbelievable that at 40, someone can still such be such a kid (read: annoying, blunt, unprofessional, inconsiderate).

So right now, more than ever, I wished I could teleport back to Gombak.

I don’t wanna jinx anything.

Have you heard the good news ?
Terengganu’s first TGV cineplex opens TODAY in Mesra Mall Kerteh !
Although it’s almost a 2-hour drive from here, but it’s nearer than having to go to Kuantan for my movie fix.
I can’t wait for Mr Sunshine to bring me there ! Yes sayang, you just have to ! Hehe.

I think I have a zit IN my nose. It hurts whenever I squeeze my nose.
I have this habit of frequently squeezing my nose (ok so actually, I am secretly afraid that my nose would grow bigger and bigger as I age so I squeeze it in hopes of halting the process, but everyone does that, right ? RIGHTTTT ???).

Ok bye.

because i am a superwoman.

Yes I am.
(This is where you people go, “Yes, she is !”)
Thanks. 🙂

I took the afternoon off today with intentions of cleaning up the whole house.
Mr Sunshine had initially made a schedule (a pictorial one, to be exact !) for us to clear up the place in stages starting the day before yesterday’s night.

But home cleaning at night is just not my thing. Hehe.
As a matter of fact, doing any kind of labor at night is not my forte.
My nights are for being indolent, watching telly and cuddling up to my man. Hehe.

Back to the story of my cleaning plans, I was pretty free at work just now, so I made a long list of the things I should do and as soon as I got back home, I turned on the radio and started work.
Guess what, I actually managed to arrange, reorganize, wash, dust, sweep and mop the whole house in 3 hours !
Just in time to surprise Mr Sunshine. 🙂
I’m exhausted but nothing can beat the feeling of seeing a huge smile on Mr Sunshine’s face. 🙂

These past few days have been pretty free and easy at the workplace.
It’s probably because most people are busy preparing for Raya rather than falling sick. 🙂
When I say free and easy, I mean reaaally free and easy.
We even had time to make bubur lambuk.

All of us got to bring back two containers of the porridge. Best kan ?

When I had nothing else to do, I went around snapping photos of my friends.

Noor screening some ward prescriptions.

Matun checking on ward indents (orders).

I know I appear like the only person slacking at work, but I was actually done with screening all the earlier prescriptions. 🙂
Tak percaya ? Tomorrow I’ll ask Noor to snap a picture of me while I’m at it. Haha.

And here’s the three of us when we all had nothing to do. 😀

Have I told you I will be working on the first day of Raya ?
Well yes I am.
So we will be leaving for Batu Pahat after I’m done with work.

I finally got to service my car last Saturday, it was way overdue for a major service.
It took more than four hours to be done, but Mr Sunshine and I did not just sit around and wait. We did a lot of walking !
One guy from the service centre dropped us off at Pasar Payang, where we bought 4 kilos of fish keropok to bring back to our hometowns this coming Raya.
Then, we walked  to the Kuala Terengganu bus stand where I bought a couple of hijabs to go with my baju Raya.
We walked to a boutique where Mr Sunshine bought his baju Melayu.
We walked to the place in town where it’s supposedly KT’s shoe heaven to look for shoes but did not find anything that we liked.
Both of us managed to get a haircut.
We walked back to the bus stand to get the keropok we kept in the bag storage area.
Lastly, we walked to the taxi stand to get a cab back to the service centre.
We arrived just a few seconds before my car was ready. 🙂
Oh yeah, thumbs up to Proton Edar Kuala Terengganu for their excellent service and hospitality ! 😉

We took my car to the car wash right after that.
By the time it was all pretty and clean, we had about half an hour left to berbuka time.
But we still squeezed in a few minutes to drop by Al-Ikhsan where Mr Sunshine got himself a pair of Adidas shoes. 🙂
That Saturday was a loooong and tiring one !
Our legs and feet were so sore the next day.

But all is good, I’m currently lazing around watching Chef Wan cook rendang on AFC while waiting for Mr Sunshine to get back from Tarawih.

Alhamdulillah. 🙂

of spices.

The weather’s pretty humid but I am shivering
I also have been sneezing throughout the day.
I hope I am not gonna be sick.
There were a couple of sick people at work who might have passed the flu bug on to me. Hmm.

I made Mee Bandung for the first time tonight. *bangga*
Well, I actually used a packet of ready made spices mum in-law bought for me. I just had to make sure I had the right amount of water (a part that needs skill according to Mr Sunshine, hehe) and put in all the other necessary ingredients such as eggs, prawns, vegetable, meat etc etc.
But Mr Sunshine has put his seal of approval on my, ahem, masterpiece and even told me to buy more packets of the ready made spices to make for visitors who come over to our place.
Mum in-law also bought me a packet of ready made spices for Mee Rebus. That will be our berbuka menu this Friday, InshaAllah. 🙂

Work was tiring today. Yeah I had to work while most of you got to enjoy your day off. Hehe.
The male ward was full with patients today, so I took quite a long time to screen all their prescriptions. Not to mention there was a medical officer who got on my nerves which made things a bit tensed.
I took a long nap when I got back and woke up just in time to cook.

I am having cake cravings now, thanks to Superheroes & Mom for posting a photo of a delicious looking Red Velvet Cake.
